Week 16

Image
The project has been completed. Given that it was a holiday, we weren't really sure if the kids should go. However, the majority of pupils go to the program. All of the scheduled events went off without a hitch. Teachers at the schools gave us some extremely kind and motivating feedback. The schoolchildren's participation was also excellent. To do this kind of outreach program, especially among schoolchildren, was quite fresh and interesting. After spending 16 weeks planning and carrying out the project, we felt incredibly content and proud of ourselves.

Week 15

The execution plan underwent final revisions. The final date was negotiated with the school's principal and agreed upon. The resource personnel were notified of the date, and we received their confirmation. Additionally, we presented the final proposal to two resource people. We divided up the conducting and poster-presenting tasks among the group members, and we each worked on our own project preparation. One of the members printed the posters, while another verified that there were refreshments available. The day of the execution that we had confirmed was abruptly declared a holiday hours before it was to take place. However, after talking to the principle, we agreed to hold the program on the scheduled date.

Week 14

Originally the project execution was planned in 13th week. But considering the situation in the country we have to postpone the project.  There were many meetings between group members and course coordinator.  Finally we decided to execute the final project on 16th week of the semester  since we got an semester extension. We decided to provide transportation by ourselves rather than depending on the university vehicle because situation is really unpredictable. We were really worried whether we will be able to held the project and be successful under this kind of limitations. Also school holidays were announcing unpredictably so we have consider that matter also.

Week 12

This week was spent finishing up the execution's preparations. Despite the fact that we were unsure of our exact start date because of the gasoline issue. The project's implementation was significantly hampered by transportation. We planned milk packets as the schoolchildren's refreshments. Yogurt or fruit are good alternatives to milk given the rising expense of milk. Dr. Harshi requested us to come up with an original idea for the seminar session, and the group members also discussed their ideas.

Week 11

We discussed with two resource persons and collect their ideas about the project.  The date was not yet confirmed due to the situation in the country. Group created a clear and well described plan for the execution day. The plan was adjusted according to the comments and suggestions given by Dr. Thushanthi.

Week 10

We gathered posters from volunteers. All the posters were in good quality so we shared them with Dr. Thushanthi to select best three posters.  We also confirmed Dr Harshi Gunawardhana as the resource person for the seminar. Since Mr Sampath is not available for the project through him  we contact Ms. K.A.C. Chathurangani as physical activity resource person.

Week 09

An earlier group decision was to hold a poster competition among classmates to gather posters. In the end, we decided to scrap the competition and simply take the posters from them. We announced the goal of collecting posters during the ninth week. Batchmates and volunteers who were working on the posters were provided guidelines and concluded subtopics.
